First phase, known as Sendian District, now 80% sold out
Arada has awarded the design and supervision services contract for Sendian District, the first phase of the AED8bn Masaar community located in the Suyoh district of Sharjah. Launched in January this year, Masaar features 4,000 villa and townhouses set in eight gated districts, all located in a forested and nature-filled master development.
The contract for design and supervision services at Sendian District was awarded to Dubai-based Dewan Architects + Engineers, which will oversee the overall design and supervision for the construction of 431 villas and townhouses.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, CEO of Arada, said: “This contract marks another step forward in the development of a community that will set a new standard of living, not just in Sharjah but the entire UAE. The first contracts for Masaar were awarded in May. These included the contract for infrastructure design and supervision consultancy services, which was won by US engineering consultancy Parsons Overseas Limited, while the contract to build the Masaar Experience Centre and show villa was awarded to ASGC.
The first phase of Masaar is now 90% sold out, and the launch of the second phase will be brought forward by a month to October due to faster-than-expected sales. The first homes in the district are scheduled to be handed over by the end of 2022. Homes at Sendian, which means oak tree in Arabic, range in size from two-bedroom townhouses to five-bedroom Sendian Park Villas. Every unit has smart home features as standard and all are located close to the leisure and entertainment zone in the heart of Masaar.
Masaar, or ‘path’ in Arabic, has been carefully designed to enable its residents to transform their lives by encouraging healthy living in harmony with nature. Featuring over 50,000 trees, Masaar’s signature feature is a lushly landscaped and walkable ‘green spine’ that will be activated by footpaths, cycle tracks, passive zones and a range of different sporting facilities.
Masaar is ideally located in the up-and-coming Suyoh district, close to Tilal City, the Sharjah Mosque and Arada’s first project, Nasma Residences. The community has easy access to Emirates Road and Mleiha Road, and is 15 minutes’ drive from Sharjah International Airport, and 20 minutes’ drive from Dubai International Airport. The location is ideal for a convenient and traffic-free commute from Sharjah to Dubai or the Northern Emirates.
